Absrtact
The main duty of this project is to integrate the implementation reports of related issues from Environmental Protection Administration, Executive Yuan (EPA), eliminate gender stereotype and gender bias, provide EPA practical consultation and administrative technical support, and so on, for assisting EPA to promote the policies and achievements in the field of environmental human rights, children’s protection, gender equality, and consumer protection. The project includes summarizing the implementation reports from EPA in five years, designing four kinds of image recognitions, making two kinds of stickers and posters. Furthermore, using human rights including children’s protection, consumer protection, the concept of gender mainstream, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) and Gender Equality Policy Guidelines as the core idea, and produce the suitable teaching materials for EPA promotion business. The forms of which contains a set of briefings, manuals, videos for digital courses, quizzes and four advertising images. We used teaching materials to hold one training workshop and three community promotion events. Seed teachers in the training workshop were generally not familiar with the concepts such as net zero and CEDAW, which we suggest enhancing the teaching guideline in knowledge aspect. As for the target participants of community promotion events were mainly in rural area, villages and vulnerable area. The result of trial teaching showed that most participants could understand the content promoted by lecturer. Due to the abundant content of the teaching materials in this project, we recommend that can separate the teaching concepts while formal lecturing so as to meet the learning needs from different age groups. Moreover, it can spread issues and information such as environmental human rights, gender equality and consumer protection wider by EPA certificated environmental educators in the future. In addition, we held three lectures of gender equality for environmental protection authorities and non-government organizations in the field of environmental protection. Based on the results conducted by statistical analysis from questionnaires, we propose two innovative projects which provide EPA reference for the implementation of future projects.
